JAMMU, Oct 18: The Divisional Level Inter-District Competition in the Discipline of Volley Ball boys Under-14 and Under-17 years got underway at Youth Hostel Nagrota Ground, here today.
In all 220 Boys drawn from 9 Districts of Jammu Division are taking part in the competitions, which are being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the overall supervision of Ashok Kumar, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Dr Swaran Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Reasi, Jeet Singh, ZPEO and PEM Rakesh Kakar.
Detailed results:
Volleyball U-14 boys: District Rajouri trounced District Doda by 2-0 sets, Ramban beat Samba by 2-1 sets, Poonch outplayed Udhampur by 2-0 sets and Reasi beat Jammu by 2-0.
Volleyball U-17 boys: District Udhampur beat District Samba by 2-0 ,Kathua beat Rajouri by 2-0, Poonch trounced Reasi by 2-1 and Jammu got better of Ramban by 2-0.
