REASI, Oct 8: The Inter-Division UT Level Kho-Kho U14 tournament kicked off here today at General Zorawar Singh Stadium in Reasi, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Reasi. Teams from both the Kashmir and Jammu divisions participated, showcasing the talent and sportsmanship of young athletes from across the Union Territory.
Chief Education Officer of Reasi, Deepak Kumar Gupta, was the chief guest and was warmly welcomed by Tarsem Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) of Reasi. Gupta, in his address, highlighted the importance of sports in the holistic development of youth, emphasizing that sports not only improve physical health but also enhance mental well-being and foster essential life skills such as teamwork, discipline and leadership.
In a closely contested match, the Jammu Division triumphed over the Kashmir Division with a score of 17-16. The matches were officiated by Madan Mohan, Ashoka Kumari, Sanjeev Kumar, Romesh Kumar, Jaswant Singh, Jugal Kumar, and Surbhi Anthal, under the supervision of Activity Incharge, Kuldeep Kumar. The event was hailed as a success, with appreciation extended to all participants and officials for their contributions.
