POONCH, Sept 18: The UT Level Inter-Divisional Football Tournament for U-19 Girls kicked off today at the Sports Stadium Poonch. The event, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) J&K and hosted by District Poonch, was inaugurated by Anjuman Shaheen, Principal of DNRM Govt GHSS Poonch. She extended a warm welcome to participants from both Jammu and Kashmir divisions.
The opening match saw a thrilling contest between the Kashmir and Jammu divisions. Kashmir Division secured a victory with a final score of 4-2, showcasing their strong skills and teamwork. The match demonstrated high levels of competition and sportsmanship from both sides.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Poonch, along with Nirdosh Kumar, Narinder Singh, and Manjeet Singh (ZPEOs), provided an overview of the tournament and welcomed the players. They were joined by PEL, PEM, PET, and REK members of DYSS Poonch, ensuring the smooth running of the event. The tournament promises to be an exciting showcase of young football talent from the UT.
