JAMMU, Sept 22: The closing ceremony of Inter Frontier Cross Country Competition was held at Hargobind Bhatnagar Stadium, at Frontier Headquarters BSF Jammu in which 66 athletes of Eastern and Western command of BSF participated enthusiastically.
D K Boora, IG, Frontier Jammu, presented a trophy to the winning team of Jammu Frontier which grabbed the first position in the event and distributed medals to athletes who secured positions. A colourful cultural programme was also presented by BSF personnel on the occasion.
IG Jammu praised BSF’s contribution in sports and said that sports inculcate strict discipline and teamwork among the personnel to achieve a common goal. He also said that BSF Jammu has always given its best in terms of operational commitments as well as in sports at all levels. He further emphasized that BSF has always been at the forefront in encouraging sports in the force to create good leadership quality, brotherhood and cooperation among force personnel.
