KATHUA, Oct 29: Inter-panchayat Kabaddi (Men) tournament was organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports at Govt Degree College under Back to Village (B2V4) wherein four Panchayat teams viz Barnoti, Chadwal, Dinga Amb and Taraf Bhajwal participated, here today.
The tournament was inaugurated by chief guest, Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia of host College along with the senior faculty members Prof Raj Kiran, Prof. Jaswinder Singh and Dr JS Soodan, Physical Director of the College.
First match was played Panchayat Barnoti and Panchayat Chadwal, in which former won the match by nine points, while the second match was played between Taraf Bhajwal and GDC Kathua in which GDC team lost the match by 3 points and the final match was held between Panchayat Taraf Bhajwal and Panchayat Chadwal, wherein the latter emerged the winners of the finals by 7 points.
The winner and runner up teams were awarded with trophies by Dr Amrik Singh ANO NCC Naval unit along with Prof Jagdish Lal and Dr Pinky Sharma. The matches were officiated by Rajan Rajput and Saddam Hussain (Akki), while Tania and Prabhleen Kaur acted as scorers.
