JAMMU, Aug 7: An Inter-School Debating Competition was held at Sai Shyam Public Higher Secondary School, Ghou-Manhasan, here today to mark the 99th Birth Anniversary of Pandit Amar Nath Vaishnavi. The debate focused on the topic “Praja Parishad Movement as an Integrating Force in J & K.”
Rohni Vaishnavi, Founder of the Amarnath Vaishnavi Foundation, was the chief guest, with Bal Krishan Sanyasi as guest of honour and Rajinder Singh Chib as special guest. Dr Usha Tickoo, Director of Sai Shyam Educational Society, provided insights into the Praja Parishad Movement.
Bhavika Pandita from S L Memorial High School secured the first position, Garima Verma from Sai Shyam Public School took second, and Divanshi from Lord Shiva Day Boarding got third place. Consolation prizes were awarded to Komal and Armenjeet Kaur. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Principal Sanjeev Kumar Pandita.
