Inter-School Indoor Cricket Tournament begins at KC Sports Club

JAMMU, Oct 11: Inter-School Indoor Cricket Tournament commenced today in the magnificent 16000 square feet air-conditioned Indoor Cricket Hall of KC Sports Club, Jammu.
Six leading public schools of Jammu, namely, Delhi Public School, GD Goenka School, St Xavier’s School, KC Gurukul, BSF School and Anuradha Public School participated in the tournament, sponsored by KC Sports Club.
With this tournament, the indoor cricket facility at KC Sports Club becomes available to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The facility is being provided in collaboration with Yuvraj Singh Centre of Excellence.
The Tournament is being played in strict conformity with the regulations laid down by the ICC.
Three matches were played today-one between Delhi Public School (DPS) and GD Goenka in which DPS thrashed GD Goenka by 49 runs and the 2nd between BSF School and St Xavier’s School in which the former defeated the latter with 36 runs. The 3rd match was played between Anuradha Public School and KC Gurukul in which Anuradha Public School won by 85 runs.
All the matches were played with exceptional enthusiasm and turned out to be extremely competitive. The semi-final and final will be played tomorrow.
