MENDHAR, Oct 3: Under the aegis of Ace of Spades Division, an Inter-School Quiz Competition was organized at Pinewood School, Sabra, here today .
Various Schools participated in the event and the competition witnessed spirited students fighting it out to win the coveted trophy instituted by the Bhimber Gali Brigade under Operation Sadbhavana.
The quiz organized for junior division students addressed current issues facing the country as also aspects of general awareness.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Commanding Officer, Mendhar Battalion. Admiring the efforts put in by the participants, the chief guest stressed upon carrying on the same zeal for all round development. He said that such competitions help in honing skill of players and make them more focused. Teachers of the participating schools were also present on the occasion and applauded the effort.
In consonance with the objective of Operation Sadbhavana, Indian Army through their ‘Good Will Schools’ has undertaken a sincere and dedicated effort to provide quality education and all round development to the children belonging to the under privileged section of society in the far flung areas.
The local villagers and teachers of the schools expressed their gratitude to the Army for organizing such competitions which lead to the all-round development of children.
