Inter-School Sports Competition held

DODA, June 11: Inter – School Sports Competition at cluster level was held in Government HSS Chiralla in which 116 students of elementary classes from different schools of cluster Chiralla took part in discipline of Cricket and Kabaddi with great enthusiasm.
Shamim Ahmad, Vice Principal of the institution was the chief guest on the occasion.
The programme was organised and managed by HSS Chiralla under the close supervision and guidance of Chief Education Officer Doda, M. A Rather.
Cricket: In semifinal; Government MS Doki and Evergreen Public School Chiralla defeated JKMH Public School Chiralla and Government MS Bachhra respectively and qualified for final. In final, Government MS Doki after winning the toss decided to bat first and set a target of 37 runs in four overs for loss of five wickets. In reply Evergreen Public School Sewa Chiralla managed to chase down the target in 3.1 overs for the loss of three wickets. The match was officiated by Maninder Singh and Piyar Singh as umpires where as Sanjay Parihar and Sajad Ahmed teachers were the scorers.
Kabaddi: In semifinal; Evergreen Public School Sewa Chiralla and Government HSS Chiralla qualified for final by beating MS Bolian and MS Bachhra respectively by margin of 39-17 and 22- 14. However, in final, HSS Chiralla registered win by beating Evergreen Public School by 31-26. Surjeet Singh PET, and Maninder Singh teacher acted as referees where as, Bikram Singh and Arvind Kumar teachers accomplished the task of scorers.
On the occasion, vice principal Shamim Ahmad congratulated the winning teams and encouraged all the students and advised them to take part in the games and other co- curricular activities whenever and wherever organised. Trophies were also distributed among the runner ups and winners.
