Inter School Taekwondo C’ship begins

JAMMU, May 13: In memory of Late Gurinder Rakwal (Senior Taekwondo Coach, JKTA), a championship of Taekwondo was declared open at Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha Parade here today.
More than 300 students from various schools and clubs of J&K are participating in it.
Medallists of this event will be selected to take part in upcoming LG Cup All India Club’s Taekwondo Championships 2023.
The chief guest of the opening ceremony was Monika Rakwal, wife of Late Gurinder Rakwal along with guest of honour Chandeep Singh, International Taekwondo Medalist; Pankaj Sharma, Senior Taekwondo Coach and special guests were Vikas Sharma, Burhan ud Din Khan (Secretary, DDTA) and Jagpreet Kour.
The Technical Team, which displayed the fairplay decisions throughout the championship was led by Atul Pangotra (International Referee) along with Shanaz Parveen, Narinder Sharma, Kushagra Sharma, Dushyant Singh, Vaibhav Abrol, Kartik Sharma, Rudhar Pratap Singh, Vansh Rakwal, Achutam Dev Singh, Sunil Vaid, Nitish Anand and Narinder Kumar.
