JAMMU, May 23: The Inter-School Tournament in the disciplines of handball and basketball Under-14 and Under-17 girls, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports got underway at Mini Stadium Parade, here today.
The Tournament is being organized under the chairmanship of Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports and under the supervision of Tirath Ram, DYSSO, Jammu.
Earlier, in handball Under-14 girls, Heritage HSS drubbed Presentation Convent by two goals to one (2-1), while APS Domana got better of St Peters Jammu by the same margin.
St Peters defeated APS Domana by four goals to three (4-3) in handball Under-17 girls, while Heritage SSS Sainik Colony trounced GHSS Mubarak Mandi by (2-0).
In basketball Under-14 girls, Heritage defeated APS Domana by (4-0), while KC blanked Heritage by (5-0), while in basketball Under-17 girls, Jodhamal got better of KC International by (10-4) AND APS Domana defeated their rival by (9-8) in a close contest
Meanwhile, in basketball Under-14 boys final, St Peters defeated KC Public by (13-4), while in basketball Under-17 boys final, APS Domana outplayed MHAC Nagbani by (10-4).
