RAJOURI, May 2: Government Higher Secondary School, Jawhar Nagar emerged winner, while Higher Secondary Ninganar remained runners-up in inter-school kabaddi tournament of Under-14 girls of Rajouri zone, here today.
In kho-kho, Higher Secondary Jhandi Kassi scripted win over Higher Secondary Karian, while in handball Higher Secondary Mankote won the match against Higher Secondary Karian and in volleyball Higher Secondary Mubarak Pura defeated Higher Secondary School, Jwahar Nagar.
Earlier the tournament was declared open by Ayaz Khan, District Youth Services and Sports Officers, Rajouri.
About 160 girl students from 13 Higher Secondary and Middle Schools participated in this one-day competition.
Among others present were Khurshid Mir, ZEO, Rajouri and Rakesh Kumar ZPEO, Rajouri.
Meanwhile, at Sunderbani zone, inter School Tournament was also organized by the Department of Youth Services wherein kho-kho and kabaddi matches were held and the Tournament was inaugurated by Principal, OP Sudan.
