JAMMU, May 4: Zonal Level Inter-School Tournaments in the disciplines of Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Wrestling were held at various venues, here today.
In Bhalwal Zone, the tournament was declared open by Rajinder Parihar, Tehsildar Bhalwal as the chief guest, while Ashok Kumar Principal HSS Bhalwal was the guest of honour. ZPEO Bhalwal, Jasbir Singh Bhau was the organizing secretary.
The winners in Kabaddi included KNIT, GHS Raipur (U-14 boys) and SDM Public School and KNIT Green (U-17 boys), while the winners in Kho-Kho included GM S Domana and GHS Agore (U-14 boys).
In Volleyball Under-14 boys, BSK Domana and KNIT entered the finals, while in Under- boys APS Domana defeated KNIT by (2-1) sets.
In Satwari Zone at GGHS Jammu Cantt, GHS Satwari defeated GGHSS Satwari to win Kho-Kho Under-17girls title, while in Kabaddi Under-17 girls final, APS Jammu Cantt drubbed GHS Shergarh to win the title.
In Gandhi Nagar Zone at Guru Harkrishan Public School, Kho-Kho Under-14 girls title went to Govt Middle School Digiana, while APS Ratnuchak won Kho-Kho Under-17 girls title.
In RS Pura Zone at Govt Girls Middle School Mill Area RS Pura, HS Rangpur and Sunshine School won in Volleyball, while HSS Chakrohi and Basti Gulabgarh emerged winners in Kho-Kho and Holly Cross School and GHS Satriyan won in Kabaddi.
In Arnia Zone competitions, St Joseph Convent HS Arnia and GGMS Allah emerged winners in Under-14 Kho-Kho, while in Kabaddi Under-14, St Joseph Convent and HS Saidgarh defeated their rivals.
