Inter-School U-19 Girls Athletic Meet concludes

UDHAMPUR, Sept 26: The District Level Inter-School Athletic Meet for Girls Under-19 Years of District Udhampur concluded at Subash Stadium, here today.
59 girls drawn from eight Institutions of District Udhampur participated in the Meet.
Nutan Rasotra, Principal Government PG College for Boys Udhampur was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed medals among the position holders.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest stressed upon the participants to participate in such activities for being physically fit.
The Athletic Meet is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the patronage of NavIn Aggarwal, Director General Youth Services and Sports and under the overall supervision of Ved Parkash, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports, Jammu.
The Meet is being held under the supervision of Sukhdev Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Udhampur.
In Under-19 girls 100 Mtrs,  Mehak  of Govt HSS Garhi won gold, Geeta Devi of Govt HSS Tikri bagged silver and Ranjana of Govt HSS Udhampur claimed bronze, while in 200 Mtrs, Priti Devi of Govt HSS Udhampur bagged gold, Jyoti Devi Govt of HSS Barolla clinched silver and Vidhi Badyal of Govt HSS Tikri won bronze.
400 Mtrs gold went to Sunita Devi of Govt HSS Salmerhi, while 800 Mtrs to Saneha Sharma of Govt HSS Udhampur and the 1500 Mtrs gold was clinched by Madhu Devi of Govt HSS Barmeen.
Poonam Sharma of Govt HSS Udh won long-jump gold, while high jump gold went to Radha Kumari of Govt HSS Udhampur.
Geeta Devi of Govt HSS Tikri won gold in shot put, while Mehak of Govt HSS Garhi clinched gold in Discus and the javelin throw gold went to Reva Devi  of Govt HSS Tikri. The officials who acted as judges in the Athletic events were Pawan Kumar, Raj Kumar, Ajay Sharma, Rakesh Modi, Pushp Kumar, Swarandeep Singh Tara, Subash Sharma, Rakesh Sahni, Shashi Bala, Suresh Kumar, Kulbushan Kotwal, Pooja Devi, Raman Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Rakesh Kahajuria, Romesh Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar Bassi, Sandeep Kour, Rishi Sharma and Raman Kumar.
