UDHAMPUR, Sept 6: District level inter-school U-19 Boys tournament was inaugurated by District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Udhampur, Romesh Chander Mishra here today.
The tournament is organised in the disciplines of Taekwondo, Table Tennis, Badminton and Volleyball was conducted at Subhash Stadium. Earlier, a total of 366 student players from different Government and private schools participated in the mega event.
The results in U-19 boys Taekwondo were Under 45 kg, Avinandan Sharma of GHSS Udhampur, 45-48 Kg, Keshab Sharma of Happy Model, 48-51 kg Tansh Sharma of Common Public School, 51-55 Kg Munish Kumar of GHSS Udhampur and 55-59 kg Rinku Sharma of GHSS Udhampur.
In Table Tennis the single event winner was Madhav Sharma of AOC Udhampur while in Doubles event Madhav Sharma, Madhav Magotra, Aditya Thapa, Mohd Safeer and Shivan Bandral. In Badminton, APS Udhampur defeated GHSS Ramnagar by a set of 2-0. In Volleyball, GHSS Mansar beat GHSS Majalata by a set of 2-1.
