POONCH, Oct 10: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, Zonal Office Reasi, hosted the Inter-School Zonal Level Youth Festival Competition 2024 at Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Reasi. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across various schools, showcasing their talents in a range of competitions such as dance/folk dance, painting, poetry, declamation, and story writing. The festival provided an exciting platform for both boys and girls, with the best performers set to advance to the Inter-Zonal District Level competition.
Hukam Chand, In-charge Principal of BHSS Reasi, presided over the event as the chief guest, alongside ZPEO Reasi Asha Devi, who motivated the young participants with her encouraging words. The judging panel, comprised of educators Anita Rani and Anantika Sharma, evaluated the performances with great diligence.
In the Painting competition, Ankit from GMMS DIET secured the first position, while Kamakshi from GGHSS Reasi took second. Varinder from GHS Kambaldanga won first in Poetry, followed by Abhimanyu from BHSS Reasi in second. In the Song (Solo) category, Satvik from BHSS Reasi clinched first place, with Sunil from HS Kambaldanga taking second. HS Kambaldanga earned the top spot in the Group Song category, with BHSS Reasi coming in second. In the Folk Dance (Solo) category, Anil Singh from BHSS Reasi won first, and Yog Raj from HSS Kambaldanga finished second. BHSS Reasi also secured first place in the Group Dance (Folk) competition, followed by HSS Kambaldanga in second. Ajay Kumar from BHSS Reasi took first place in the Declamation contest, while BHSS Reasi also emerged victorious in the Story Writing competition.
The event was organized under the supervision of Ashoka Kumari, Kirana Devi, Shamim Akther, and Neha Sharma, reinforcing the Department of Youth Services and Sports’ dedication to promoting the holistic development of students across the district.
