JAMMU, Aug 4: In an Inter Zonal District level competition in the discipline of Handball for Under-14 and Under-17 girls has been organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports District Jammu here today.
In the competition, about 70 players of different Zones of District Jammu took part in the competition. The main aim of this competition is to select the best team for the next level of completion.
The matches were officiated by a panel of experts of the Department, convenors and other technical officials who were deployed for the smooth conduct of this competition.
In the results of semi-final Handball under-14 girls, Gandhi Nagar Zone defeated Bhalwal Zone by (6-3) goals, while in final Handball under -14 girls, Gandhi Nagar Zone defeated Jammu Zone by (8-4) goals.
In Semi-final Handball under -17 girls competition Bhalwal Zone defeated Gandhi Nagar Zone by (7-4) goals and in final Handball under-17 girls event Jammu Zone defeated Bhalwal Zone by (5-3)goals.
