*Bhalwal lifts U-14, 17 Kho-Kho title

JAMMU, May 13: Inter Zonal District level competitions in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, Volleyball, Wrestling and Cricket for Under 14 and 17 years boys concluded at Green Field, GHSS Bakshi Nagar and MA Stadium here.
In Kho-Kho Under-14 boys, Bhalwal Zone beat Miran Sahib Zone by 2-1 points. Earlier, in the first semis, Bhalwal Zone smashed Akhnoor Zone by 3-1 points, whereas in the second semis, Miran Sahib beat Bishnah Zone by 4-1 points.
In Kho-Kho Under-17 boys, Bhalwal Zone beat Akhnoor Zone by 7-5 points. Earlier,
Bhalwal Zone defeated Khour Zone by 26-3 points in first semis, whereas in the second semifinal, Zone Akhnoor trounced Chowki Choura Zone by 10-1 points.
In Kabbadi under-14 boys, Dansal Zone beat Bhalwal Zone by 40-16 points. Earlier, in the first semis, Dansal Zone defeated Miran Sahib Zone by 53-39 points, whereas in the second semis, Bhalwal Zone smashed RS Pura Zone by 41-11 points.
In Kabbadi Under-17 boys, Bhalwal Zone beat Akhnoor Zone by 62-49 points. Earlier, Bhalwal Zone beat Chowki Choura Zone by 52-29 points in first semis, whereas Akhnoor Zone registered win over Miran Sahib Zone by 44-38 points in the second semis.
In Volleyball Under-17 boys, Khour Zone beat Akhnoor Zone by 2-0 sets. Earlier, in the first semis, Khour Zone smashed Gandhi Nagar Zone by 2-0 sets, whereas in the second semis, Zone Akhnoor outclassed Bhalwal Zone by 2-1 sets.
In Cricket Under-14 boys, Miran Sahib Zone crushed Satwari Zone by 8 wickets.
In Cricket Under-17 boys, Khour Zone beat Arnia Zone by 7 wickets.
In Wrestling Under-14 boys, Mukesh of Marh Zone, Ashiq alo of Gandhi Nagar Zone, Rahul of Marh Zone and Sachin of Satwari Zone emerged winners.
In Wrestling Under-17 boys, Arun of Dansal Zone, Sahil Singh of Jourian Zone, Mustaq Ali of Arnia Zone, Abhey of Marh Zone, Raman of Marh Zone and Surinder Singh of Jourian Zone emerged winners in various weight categories.
