LEH, Oct 28: Interdepart-mental Futsal competition, organised by the Department of Physical Education, Leh Campus, University of Ladakh, concluded here today.
Five teams consisting of the Department of Zoology, Mathem-atics, History and Political Science, B.P.Ed, and Economics participated in the competition.
Registrar, University of Ladakh, Professor AK Sharma was the chief guest during the final match. Dean of Research, Dr Sonam Joldan; Dean of Student Welfare, Dr Jigmat Dechan and faculty of all the departments were also present during the final match.
The first match of the futsal competition was played between the teams of B.P.Ed and Zoology department, in which BP.Ed team won by 10 goals to 2, while second match was played between the Economics and Mathematics departments, wherein former team won by a 6 goals to 4 and qualified for the final round.
The third match was played between B.P.Ed and the History & Political Science team in which B. P.Ed team won the game and qualified for the final round.
The final match was played between the teams of the B. P.Ed and Economics departments wherein B.P.Ed lifted the trophy by scoring 8 goals to 3.
The event concluded with the distribution of trophies to the winner and runner-up teams by the chief guest, Prof AK Sharma, while Tsering Dorjay of the BP.Ed department team was adjudged the best player in the competition.
