PUDUCHERRY: The Sixth International Documentary Film Festival will start here at the Pondicherry Central University Auditorium from tomorrow. The festival is being jointly held by the Progressive Writers Association, Artists Association, Indian Film Development Wing-Mumbai and the Pondicherry University, Mr Ramachandran, coordinator of the film festival said today. He said documentaries from over ten countries including France,Vietnam,Cuba, and Indonasia would be screened in the festival from 0900 hours to 2000 hours every day.The film festival will be held from February 16 to 19, he said adding that the film directors Hariharan and Sivakumar, Editor Lenin among others would participate in the inaugural function here tomorrow evening. Documentaries like “Butterflies in Office” and “Iruthi Chadangu”, produced by the students of the Pondicherry university would be screened on the inaugural day tomorrow, Ramachandran said adding that the ten documentaries produced by the Pondicherry university students would be screened in the festial.
