JAMMU, May 10: Deputy Commissioner Kargil Baseer Ul Haq Chowdhary assured all possible help to International Player Tashi Tundup as the latter called on Deputy Commissioner at his residence and talked about his journey and his achievements.
Congratulating Tashi for his selection for World University Taekwondo Championship to be held at Italy in July 2019, Mr Chowdhary told that Tashi should guide youths to opt sports as profession so that Kargil can produce more and more international players.
Tundup while talking about his journey in the last 8 years said that he has been supported by his parents and his association for all his achievements, adding that in his Korea trip he was financially helped by Haji Anayat Ali, Chairman J&K Legislative Council but now for World University Championship he needs financial help to flourish.
Deputy Commissioner assured him all help and hoped for a medal in the forthcoming Championship.
It is pertinent to mention here that Tashi Tundup will represent India In the World Taekwondo Championship 2019 from Jammu University and is the first player from Jammu University to represent in this Championship and his coach is International Player, Referee and Coach of Indian team, Atul Pangotra, who is an icon in the field of Taekwondo in India.
