JAMMU, Nov 21: Government College of Education (GCOE), Canal Road, Jammu, organised an Intra-College Tug-of-War competition bringing together 14 teams, including 2 men’s and 12 women’s, for showcasing strength and teamwork.
The event witnessed active participation from B. Ed, M. Ed and Integrated B. Ed-M. Ed students with total 140 participants.
The event was inaugurated by the Principal of the College, Dr. Jyoti Parihar. The guest of honour was Prof. Satish Sharma.
The competition was organized by students of Department of Physical Education, GCOE, Jammu, under the guidance of Prof. Ramandeep Kralia, Physical Director of the College.
In Women’s category, the finals witnessed contest between Integrated B. Ed-M. Ed Women’s Team and B. Ed Group B, with the Integrated B. Ed-M. Ed Team emerging victorious, clinching the title with a score of 2-1.
In Men’s category, GCOE Boys Team showcased their prowess, defeating Integrated B. Ed-M. Ed Boys Team with a score of 2-1 to claim the top spot.
The winning and runner-up teams were felicitated with gold and silver medals respectively and all participants were provided refreshments.
The event was graced by the presence of faculty members including Prof. Sunanda Rani, Dr. Rajinder Kour, Prof. Anuradha, Dr. Sushma Bala, Dr. Shalika Gupta, Dr. Davinder Kour, Prof. Balwan Singh, Dr. Shalini Rana, Dr. Rakesh Bharti, Prof. Kiran Thapa, Prof. Sarita Dogra, Dr. Ambica and Dr. Sonam Gandotra.
