Intruder interdicted at Indo-Pak border

AMRITSAR : A man who was trying to enter the border from Pakistan side was interdicted at a border outpost in village Naushera Dhalla in this district of Punjab, a senior BSF official said today.

BSF night patrolling troops deployed at a border outpost in village Naushera Dhalla last night observed that an intruder was approaching from Pakistan side towards Border Security Fence, DIG, BSF, R P S Jaswal said.

BSF troops challenged the intruder but he continued with his aggressive posture. Sensing danger, BSF troops fired on the intruder in self defence and cordoned off the area till today morning, Jaswal said.

During search of the area this morning, dead body of the intruder was recovered, he said. (AGENCIES)
