JAMMU, Oct 8: Senior INTUC leader P N Pandita has criticized the PWD and Jammu Municipality for its failure in constructing the Subash Nagar – Shanti Nagar road which has become a death trap now.
In a statement issued here today he said entire road is in dilapidated condition after if was dug by ERA and other agencies for laying the pipes. Since then the road was not renovated resulting in multiple problems of the people living in the area.
Pandita demanded immediate renovation of the road right from Tope Sherkhan quarters to Top Pulli.
The INTUC leader also expressed grave concern over the denial of wages for last six months to daily wagers of DDK Jammu. He said it is a matter of concern that there is no problem in Jammu DDK so why it should be clubbed in Kashmir DD for payment of wages to daily wagers whose plight is pitable and are at the verge of starvation.
