IPO presents pre-budget proposal to FM

 JAMMU, Jan 28:  A delegation of  Institute of Public Opinion (IPO) met the Finance Minister  Abdul Rahim Rather here today and submitted pre-budget proposal.
Led by its chairman, Arun K Gupta, the delegation also comprised of  responsible citizens, student leaders and social activists from Rajouri district. They  put forward several suggestions to be included in the coming up budget.  They  submitted a memorandum to the Minister projecting several issues and demands.
The members during pre-budget discussion raised the issues related to decongestion in Jammu city, unemployment, adulteration, lack of facilities  at old age home, mal-nutrition, mid day meals scheme,  promotion of industries, multi storey parking facilities, installation of  big scanners at Lakhanpur, introduce Sales Tax amnesty scheme etc.
They also suggested to raise new colonies and shopping complexes  at various district headquarters.  Mr Rather listened to their issues patiently and assured to incorporate some of the important points in the budget.
