SRINAGAR, July 11: Irfan Haneef of Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Soura claimed first position in the inter-school painting competition for boys and girls under the age group of 17 and 19 years, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Srinagar at Youth Hostel here today.
In boys section, the second spot was bagged by Ubaid Faya of Sultanul Arfeen Public School, while the third position was claimed by Owais Parvaiz Mir of CMP High School.
In the girls section, Salma Iqbal of Kashmir Harvard was declared first, while the second and third spot was bagged by Mahirah Mushtaq of Woodland House School and Divya Kour of Presentation Convent School respectively.
Twenty two schools of District Srinagar comprising of 86 participants took part in the competition, which was held under the patronage of Jahangir Mir, Director General Youth Services and Sports, J&K.
