SRINAGAR, Apr 2: International cricketer, Irfan Pathan today visited Tangmarg and interacted with teachers and students of Army Goodwill School Ziran, Tangmarg in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An Army spokesman said that the cricketer was given a warm welcome by the exuberant students and an interactive session was organized between the students and the cricketer at Town Hall, Tangmarg.
He said Irfan Pathan gave a motivational talk to the enthusiastic gathering in which he encouraged the students to take up sports as well as focus on education for a promising future for themselves and also for Kashmir.
“During the interactive session, the students asked various questions and his views on the people of Kashmir Valley. They also asked him about his success story and his success in the field of cricket. Irfan stressed on finding the passion by youngsters and to work hard to pursue it. He also said that there is no substitute for hard work and one should keep working hard to achieve whatever he/she wants in life,” he said, adding, “As the cricketer comes from a humble family background, his words and his success story has sown the seeds of becoming a famous cricketer in the minds of the children.”
