IRP-19th register 3-0 win over IRP-16th, lifts Volleyball title

JAMMU, Apr 18: IRP-19th Battalion registered 3-0 sets victory over IRP-16th Battalion and lifted Volleyball title, organised during the ongoing Inter-Battalion Tournament by Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), here today.
In 5000 Meter, Lal Singh of IRP-12th Battalion, Mehraj-u-din of JKAP-9th Battalion and Mukesh Kumar of IRP-17th Battalion emerged winners.
In 200 Meter, Shabir Kumar and Zubair Ahmad, both from IRP-17th Battalion claimed first and second positios, while Mohan Lal of IRP-19th Battalion claimed third position.
In 1500 Meter, Vikram Singh of IRP-2nd Battalion, Hira Singh of IRP-3rd Battalion and Zaffar Ali of IRP-18th Battalion claimed top three ranks.
In 400 Meter, Danish Yousuf of IRP-17th Battalion, Pardeep Kumar of IRP-19th Battalion and Raj Kumar of IRP-18th Battalion claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
In Badminton (GOs), DySP Sanjay Parihar thrashed DySP Randhir Singh by 2-0 sets in the final and lifted the title trophy.
In Badminton (Women), DySP Rano Kundal outplayed DySP Rajni Sharma by straight 2-0 sets and claimed the title trophy.
In Basketball (Men), IRP-3rd Battalion thrashed IRP-17th Battalion in the first semis and registered birth in the final.
In Football, IRP-19th Battalion will lock horns with IRP-17th Battalion in the final.
In Handball (Men), IRP-19th Battalion will clash with IRP-17th Battalion in the final.
In Kabaddi, IRP-3rd Battalion will lock horns with IRP-8th Battalion in the final. In Kho-Kho, IRP-15th Battalion registered 8 points victory over IRP-19th Battalion and lifted the title trophy.
In Lawn Tennis (GOs), Sanjay Parihar registered win over Randhir Parihar in the quarter final round and advanced to semis.
In Tug-of-War (Men), IRP-4th Battalion and IRP-10th Battalion registered wins and advanced to semis, whereas in women category, IRP-12th Battalion will lock horns with IRP-15th Battalion.
In Swimming, Shashi Pal of IRP-7th Battalion and Pawan Kumar of JKAP-8th Battalion claimed first and second positions in 50 meter free style, while in 100 free style, Shashi Pal of IRP-7th Battalion and Willayat Hussain of IRP-16th Battalion registered wins, in 50 meter back stroke, Willayat Hussain of IRP-16th Battalion and Shashi Pal of IRP-7th Battalion emerged winners, in 50 meter breast stroke, Shashi Pal of IRP-7th Battalion and Pawan Kumar of JKAP-8th Battalion emerged winners. In 4×100 meter free style relay, Rakesh Verma, Rajesh Sharma, Zubair Ahmad, Tanveer Ahmad, all from IRP-17th Battalion claimed first position, while the second position was bagged by Pawan Kumar, Kala Hussain, Neeraj Kumar and Surinder Kumar, all from IRP-19th Battalion.
