REASI, Apr 27: Under the Civic Action Programme, IRP 1st Battalion today distributed school bags, uniforms and other stationery items among seventy eight poor and orphan students at Government Middle School Tramla Shajroo, Mahore here.
On the occasion, SSP IRP 1st Battalion TR Katoch was the chief guest. Dy.SP Devinder Singh, ZEO Mahore, Headmasters and teachers of various Government schools, members of PRIs and a large number of local people were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Katoch said that Police under the Civic Action Programme has always been helping poor and needy and would leave no stone unturned to provide assistance in future, adding that Civic Action Plan is a major step to bridge the gap between Police and Public. He also stressed upon the teachers to impart quality education and inculcate the competitive spirit among the students to make them responsible citizens.
