JAMMU, Dec 12: Inter-School District Level (ISDL) competitions cum selection trials in disciplines of Carrom, Yoga, Softball and Baseball got underway at Government Boys High School Jammu Cantonment, here today.
In Carrom under-14 yrs singles, Sumeet from GMS Makwal got 1st place and Dinesh from GGHS Sohanjana clinched 2nd place, whereas in Carrom under-14yrs doubles, Dinesh and Balraj from GGHS Sohanjana bagged1st position and Kanish Bhagat and Ravi Kumar from GHS Surechak got 2nd place.
In Carrom under-17 yrs singles, Dhruv of GHS Shergarh bagged 1st place and Ayush of GGHSS Bhour Camp got 2nd place, while in Carrom under-17 yrs doubles, Shivjeet and Rahul Nagotra of GGHS Sohanjana secured 1st position and Karan and Pradeep of GHSS Jindrah bagged 2nd position.
In Carrom under-19 yrs singles, Raman Kumar of GHSS Mandal clinched 1st position, Aman Singh of GHSS Sarore bagged 2nd position, whereas in Carrom under-19 yrs doubles, Sahil and Randeep of GHSS Jindrah secured 1st place and Harjot & Ashish of GBHSS ishnah bagged 2nd place.
The aim of the selection trials is to select best players for next level of tournament. All the organising committee members and technical officials were present during the competitions. The competitions were organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports under the supervision of ZPEO Satwari, Satwinder Kour.
