KATRA, June 16: Wrestler Ishaq Ahmed (Lallu) of J&K Police defeated Wrestler Farzad Chahremany of Iran and lifted 51st Panj Grain (Nagrota) Dangal title 2018.
The Dangal was organized by Panj Grain Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association at Village Panj Grain in Block Nagrota of Jammu District.
Dangal was witnessed by a large gathering from Jammu, Udhampur and Reasi Districts.
The first malli bout wrestler Ishaq Ahmed (Lallu) was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 by Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma, President Panj Grain Dangal Committee Tharu Ram and DSP Nagrota Y.S Slathia, while runners-up Wrestler Farzad Chahremany got Rs. 11,000 by SHO Nagrota RS Manhas, contractor Railway Sushil Kumar and Numberdar Chanchal Singh.
48 bouts were played in the one day long Dangal and an amount of Rs. 2,50,000/ was distributed in the cash prizes among the winners and runners-up Wrestlers.
DySP Nagrota YS Slathia, SHO Nagrota RS Manhas and and contractor Sushil Kumar were the guests of honour.
2nd main bout ended in draw which was fought between Babba of Kot Bhawal V/s Aman of Ludhiana (Punjab). 3rd bout was won by Akram of Jammu who defeated Jatinder of Patila. 4th bout was won by Sonu of Sirsa who defeated Amir Khan of Nargada. 5th bout was won by Akram of Chouadi, Jammu who defeated Sanjay of Pargal.
Members and technical officials who helped for conduct of this Dangal included Thoru Ram (President), Numberdar Chanchal Singh, Romesh Singh, Chain Singh, Devinder Singh, Balwant Singh, Aslam Boguhal, Girdhari Lal, Balbir Singh, Tarun Singh, Rajinder Singh, Bharat Singh, Raj Singh, Mohd. Fareed and Manjoor Hussain.
Other Results:- Murad Ali of Domana beat Chain of Patti, Jamat Ali of Nagrota beat Devinder of Domana, Panku of Domana beat Sodhi of Patti, Muneer Khan of Ranj Grain beat Amit of Delhi, Roshan of Patti beat Balwan of Domana and Salman of Chopra Shop beat Johnny of Patile.
