Ishfaq of Kashmir, Dheeraj of Jammu among gold winners in Taekwondo

JAMMU, Sept 16: Ishfaq of Kashmir Division claimed gold in below 54 kg category, while Dheeraj of Jammu clinched gold in below 62 kg in the Inter-Division Under-19 Boys Taekwondo Championship, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
In below 46 kg, Anit Raina of Jammu bagged gold, while in below 50 kg, Syed Toha of Kashmir claimed gold.
Below 58 kg gold went to Omnamish of Jammu, while silver in this category was bagged by Muddasir of Kashmir division.
Below 66 kg and below 70 kg gold went to Furkan of Kashmir and Ala-Ul-Din of Jammu respectively.
Meanwhile in Taekwondo Under-19 girls, Zareena Batool of Kashmir bagged gold in below 40 kg, while Jameela Yasmeen of Kashmir clinched gold in below 43 kg category, while in below 46 and 50 kg categories, Zinab Bi of Kashmir and Kaneez Fatima of Kashmir claimed gold medals respectively.
In below 54 kg, Madhu of Jammu bagged gold, while in above 62 kg girls, Kosheen of Jammu claimed gold.
The Competitions were organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the patronage of its Director General, Navin Aggarwal.
The matches were officiated by a panel of experts including Varinder Sharma, Raman, Rashpal, Vaneet, Harpreet Bhalla, Anita, Taruna and Rajesh.
