Ishtiaq Ahmed emerges winner in symposium

JAMMU, Dec 22: Red Ribbon Club of Government MAM College in collaboration with J&K State AIDS Prevention and Control Society, Department of Health organised a symposium on “Getting zero-zero new HIV infection, zero discrimination and zero AIDS related deaths”.
Principal of the College, Dr Ramesh Chander, presided over the function, who while speaking emphasized upon the fact that more awareness programmes regarding HIV/ AIDS be organised in rural areas.
Dr Savita Sood, Conselling Supervisor, PG Department of Psychology, University of Jammu, was the chief guest, who interacted with the students and made them aware about the problem and the social stigma related with HIV/ AIDS.
In symposium, Ishtiaq Ahmed, Vineet Singh and Poonam emerged winners.
Dr  Subash Sharma, HoD Sanskrit, Prof Banarsi Lal, HoD Urdu and Dr Shalini Sharma from Department of English, were the jury members.
At the end, Dr MK Mussa presented vote of thanks.
