Ishuk to lock horns with Abhishek in high profile summit clash today

JAMMU, June 24: Enthusiastic Ishuk Chowdhary will lock horns with Passionate Abhishek Pathania in the high profile summit clash of the ongoing Open J&K State Six Red Ball Prize Money Tournament, being organized by the J&K Billiards and Snooker Association at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here tomorrow.
Earlier, Abhishek stunned Vidit Gawri in the first semis yesterday, while Ishuk left the spectators spellbound with his undeniable mastery by knocking down Jaideep by 4-3 frames in the second semifinal today.
With a self-belief semifinal victory, Ishuk booked his spot in the final of the Six Red Ball Tournament by winning the deciding seventh frame against Jaideep Manocha with 46 points, which was the highest break of the tournament.
Jaideep clearly walked to the table with the utmost poise winning the first frame 42-11, but his march was halted by Ishuk, who pulled back the second frame 42-27 to give the Cueist Jaideep a taste of his own medicine.
Manocha raised the lead by 2-1 after wining the third frame 34-04, but Ishuk with his mastery skills, equalised the game by securing the fourth frame 31-23.
As the match got equalized with 2-2 frames, Jaideep again looked unstoppable against his talented opponent Ishuk and cleared the table 25-14 in the fifth frame.
With Jaideep leading the match 3-2 at the end of fifth frames, Ishuk dug deep into his reservoir of experience and equalized the game by finishing the sixth frame 29-15.
By the seventh and deciding frame, the match was extremely close as Ishuk and Jaideep after facing up and downs in the previous six fames, had equalized the game by 3-3 frames.
Cueist Ishuk made a good start in the seventh frame and continued to show his talent during the whole frame by not giving any chance to Jaideep to raise the points. Ishuk won the frame with the highest break of the tournament of 46-00 and registered berth in the final of the tournament.
