DODA, May 24: Islamia Cricket Club Banihal (ICCB) and Goa Cricket Club (GCC) outplayed Green Mountain Cricket Club Bhalessa (GMCCB) and Kerala Cricket Club (KCC) respectively to advance in the ongoing All India 9th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship, being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda at Sports Stadium, here.
The first match was played between Islamia Cricket Club Banihal and Green Mountain Cricket Club Bhalessa. Batting first after winning the toss, ICC Banihal scored a total of 149 runs by loosing their nine wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Jalil was the highest scorer who scored 41 runs while Manzoor contributed 19 runs for his team. From GMCC Bhalessa, Ashiq and Ashraf took 4 and 2 wickets respectively.
In reply, GMCC Bhalessa could not chase the target and scored only 107 runs for the loss of four wickets. Ashiq was the highest scorer who scored 38 runs while Ab Rauf contributed 29 runs for the team. From ICC Banihal, Manzoor take 02 wickets. Manzoor of ICC Banihal was declared as Man of the Match for his best all round performance.
The second match was played between Goa Cricket Club and Kerela Cricket Club. Batting first after winning the toss, KCC scored a total of 91 runs by loosing their all wickets in 20 overs. Subramanyam was the highest scorer who scored 32 runs while Akhil contributed 22 runs for his team. From GCC , Sachin and Vijay took three and two wickets respectively
In reply, GCC chase the target in 6.3 overs by loosing their two wickets. Sachin Rathore was the highest scorer who scored 48 runs followed by Vishal who contributed 34 runs for his team. From KCC , Subramanyam take two wickets. Sachin of GCC was declared man of the match for his all-round performance.
