JAMMU, June 8: Directorate of Indian System of Medicine (AYUSH), J&K organized a free medical/awareness camp in village Shahzadpur.
During the camp, Dr Vandana Dogra and Dr Ranju Bhan made people aware about the importance of immunity boosters during current COVID-19 outbreak and told how Indian traditional herbs can boost our immunity and keep diseases away.
They also distributed immunity boosting medicines among the people of village and advised them to use tulsi, dalchini, ginger, black pepper, geloy etc in routine for keeping their immunity up. Pharmacists Sham Lal, Raj Kumar, and Shashi Pal were also present.
Earlier, Ram Paul Sharma, Sarpanch Panchayat halqa Gho Brahmana requested the AYUSH officials to make such programme a regular feature in rural areas. On the occasion, he also distributed masks and sanitizers among needy people and advised them to follow Government guidelines regarding social distancing, hand washing and usage of masks.
