JAMMU, Feb 15: Adarsh Nagar Welfare Committee (ANWC) Bantalab in Ward 63 and residents of its surrounding areas held a meeting here today under the chairmanship of Satish Khoda, ANWC president.
Speakers in the meeting demanded issuance of Ayushman Bharat PMJAY cards to the beneficiaries who had been registered online by the concerned officials provided by the Government.
They claimed that despite completing all formalities long back, Ayushman Cards were not issued to the beneficiaries till date.
The ANWC members also said that some ailing and needy people suffering from various diseases are unable to get proper medical treatment due to poverty.
They said that Ayushman Bharat PMJAY is a welfare scheme announced by the PM Narendra Modi and appealed to the authorities concerned to expedite the process of issuing the cards to beneficiaries without any delay.
They also demanded intervention of J&K LG, Manoj Sinha in issuing the Ayushman Bharat Cards to migrants as well as others in the area.
