JAMMU, May 20: The Department of Information Technology, MIET organised an industrial visit of its students to BSNL exchange.
The students of sixth semester IT visited OCB Kachi Chawni/Gandhi Nagar, Broadband unit, Gandhi Nagar and WLL unit Kachi Chawni.
MIET Principal Prof SK Sharma flagged off the visit.
The students accompanied by faculty members of the IT Department learnt about working of the exchange and got familiar with the equipment used for broadband communication.
The students appreciated the initiative of IT Department and suggested that more such visits should be organised so that they get more and more industry exposure. The visit was organised under the supervision of HoD IT Manu Gupta.
