JAMMU, Mar 13: The Income Tax Department today organized an interactive session on Advance Tax and Top Self-Assessment Taxpayers in Jammu Division, attended by various taxpayers and tax professionals.
The event aimed to highlight the importance of advance tax payments and address taxpayers’ concerns.
Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax, Balbir Singh, emphasized the significance of advance tax payments for both taxpayers and the Government.

Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, RK Gubgotra, addressed the gathering, stressing the department’s monitoring of taxpayers who fail to deposit advance taxes as per the IT Act.
He warned of actions against non-compliant taxpayers and urged them to update their contact information on the Income Tax e-filing portal to receive timely communications from the department.
