JAMMU, Apr 2: Medical Employees Association (MEA) conducted the elections to elect the office bearers of ITI Diploma Holders Association, a unit of MEA.
This was stated by Pardeep Kumar Sharma, president of MEA during a press conference here today.
Sharma informed that Sunil Singh has been elected as chairman of the association, whereas Ashwani Gupta as president, Yashpal Singh as senior vice president, Rahul Gupta as general secretary, Babu Ram as advisor, Makhan Singh as chief organizer, Vinod Kumar as office secretary and Vikas Gupta as cashier.
The working committee members of the association are Rajinder Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Arjun Singh and Amit Khajuria.
Highlighting the demands of the association, Sharma demanded regularization of all daily wagers and consolidated adhoc and contractual employees, pay nominee of clerical cadre and technical staff, enhancement of retirement age from 58 years to 60 years, release of 10 per cent DA from January 1, 2012 and enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1,000 per month.
Sharma urged the Government to redress the aforesaid issues at the earliest.
