J&K Police outclasses AMCC; register birth in quarterfinals

JAMMU, Dec 3: J&K Police outclassed AMCC by 8 wickets and registered birth in the quarterfinals of the ongoing J&K Police Friendship Cup being organised jointly by J&K Police, Young Star Cricket Club and Simula Software at MA Stadium here.
During the semifinal match, AMCC batting first scored 109 runs for all out in 19. 2 overs. Rahul was the top scorer with 28 runs, while, Anil, Happy and Lovely chipped in 22, 13 and 10 runs respectively.
For J&K Police side, Dilbagh was the wrecker-in-chief who scalped 5 wickets, while, Ashwani and Rajesh Gill took 2 wickets each. Jatin also claimed one wicket.
In reply, J&K Police chased the target easily in just 14.5 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Rajesh Gill played well and chipped in 50 runs (half century) including nine boundaries, whereas Naresh, Jatin and Amit Sharma also made 27, 15 and 10 runs respectively.
For AMCC side, Raman and Rahul scalped one wicket apiece.
Dilbagh of J&K Police was declared as man of the match for his 5 wickets haul.
The match was officiated by Rocky Khokher and Krishan Lal as umpires, while, Sohail maintained the scoreboard.
