JAMMU, July 21: J&K eves created history by winning gold medal in 2nd Roll Ball Federation Cup 2018-19, which concluded at Guwahati in Assam, today.
Top 9 teams from all over India took part in the Tournament.
Jammu and Kashmir boys and girls teams participated in the competition, under the supervision of coach, Madhu Sharma.
J&K women’s team defeated host Assam in a close contest by 2-1 in final.
On the way to final J&K defeated Maharastra by 1-0, Chattisgarh by 2-1 and Rajasthan by 2-0.
In the men’s section defending champion J&K won bronze medal.
Earlier, J&K defeated Chhattisgarh and Karnataka convincingly.
Chairman of J&K Roll Ball Association, Anil Sharma while congratulating the State team lauded the efforts of the players and their coach Madhu Sharma for this outstanding achievement.
