Jagandeep helps GCC outplay DCC

SIMBAL, June 13: 5-wicket haul and 34 runs by Jagandeep Singh helped Galaxy Cricket Club (GCC) defeat Dashmesh Cricket Club in an easy contest to advance in the Devinder Pal Memorial Cosco Cricket Tournament at Government High School, here.
Batting first, GCC scored 135 runs in the allotted overs. Puneet scored 51 runs, while Jagandeep contributed 34. For DCC, Neeraj took 3 wickets.
In reply, DCC bundled out for a paltry total of 51 runs, with Amandeep Singh and Panku scoring 23 and 20 runs to the total respectively. Jagandeep Singh was the pick of the bowlers from GCC, who claimed 5 wickets by giving away just 6 runs in his 2 overs., while Vicky took 3 wickets by giving away 3 runs in his 2 overs. Jagandeep Singh was declared man of the match for his all-round show.
Rohit and Talvinder Singh were the umpires, while Ginni was the scorer.
The tournament is being held under the overall supervision of GS Michael.
