JAMMU, May 25: Jagandeep Singh’s 61 off 32 balls helped Diamond Cricket Club to trounce Friends Cricket Club and lift the title trophy in the Anti Drug T20 Cricket Tournament at High School ground, Simbal Camp, here today.
Earlier, bating first, FCC scored a modest total of 120 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Parmeet Singh was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 5 important wickets by conceding 10 runs in his 4 overs.
In reply, Diamond Club chased the target easily to lift the title trophy. Jagandeep Singh was the top scorer with 61 runs, while Varjinder contributed 24 runs to the total. For FCC, Mittu and Narinder took 2 wicket each. For his superb batting display, Jagandeep Singh was declared man of the match.
Rajinder Singh Nathu, Karamjeet Singh and Naib Sarpanch Harvinder Singh were the guests of honour on the occasion, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
