BAJALTA, Feb 11: Jagti Jari Legends defeated Chak Ladgan Eros, while Shiv Legends Nagrota won a sensational match against Jandyal Super Kings in the Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament, an initiative of MLA Devender Singh Rana, here.
Playing at Bajalta play field in the Nagrota Assembly Constituency, Chack Ladgan Eros won the toss and decided to bat first to score 128 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 14 overs.
The batsmen of Jagti Jari Legends sent the rival bowlers on a leather-hunt and chased the score easily by losing 4 wickets and won the match by 6 wickets. Lucky from Jagti Jari Legends was declared as man of the match for his all-round performance. He scored magnificent 59 runs and took 2 important wickets.
In another match, Shiv Legends Nagrota drubbed Jandyal Super Kings by a huge margin of 124 runs.
Shiv Legends Nagrota won the toss and elected to bat first. A superb batting display by Bittu and Justin, who scored 73 and 78 runs respectively, helped Shiv Legends to score a big total of 187 runs, losing just 2 wickets in the allotted 14 overs.
Chasing a big target of 187, Jandyal Super Kings bundled out for a paltry total of 63 runs in 10 overs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 124 runs. Justin was declared as man of the match for his blistering 78 runs off 39 balls.
The matches were officiated by Saleem-ur-Rehman, bcci Level-1 Umpire and Faheem Tak, former skipper, University of Jammu.
Member BCCI, Ankush Abrol was the chief guest in today’s proceedings, while Sarpanch Bajalta, Ch Rehmat Ali, Sarpanch Ravinder Singh (Peter), Sarpanch Balbir Singh and Tej Pal Singh were present on the ocasion.
The matches were played under the overall supervision of Faheem Tak, vice president Take-1 Channel and Member Organizing Committee.
