JAMMU, Mar 1: A T20 Cricket tournament, Jain Premier League Season 2 (Vardhman Jewellers Jain Premier League Season 2) organized by Jain Yuvak Sangh concluded at Greenfields, Gandhi Nagar, here today.
Six teams participated in the tournament. Thrashes Eleven and Cosmic Storms reached finals in which Thrashers Eleven emerged as winner. Orange Cap (most runs scored in the tournament) went to Somaya whereas purple Cap (most wickets in the tournament) was bagged by Jinesh. Somaya was adjudged player of the tournament.
ADGP Jammu Zone, Anand Jain was chief guest during the event. He said it’s a good step taken by Jain Community to bring youth on one platform which provides them an opportunity to interact with each other and encourages them towards outdoor sports, the habit which is declining day by day.
Presentation ceremony was conducted by Saurabh Jain, General Secretary, Jain Yuvak Sangh in which team owners and sponsors were honored by Pankaj Jain, President S.S Jain Sabha, Jammu and Kashmir.
Sandeep Sunny Jain, General Secretary, S.S Jain Sabha, J&K congratulated Jain Yuvak Sangh for successfully organizing the tournament. He further appreciated that sports make youth healthy and energetic youth contributes in building a healthy society as well as nation. President Jain Yuvak Sangh, Amit Jimmy Jain appreciated all the guests and general public for coming and making the event a grand success.
