JAMMU, Mar 17:  Jammu Angels Eleven Woman Cricket team defeated Stadium Cricket Eleven and clinched the title trophy of Woman Cricket in the ‘Zonal level Police Sports Festival’ at Parade Ground, here today.
Earlier, in the title clash, Jammu Angels Eleven defeated Stadium Eleven in an easy contest by chasing the target without losing any wicket.
Batting first, Stadium Eleven scored 46 runs in 5 overs for the loss of 1 wicket. Tanisha (30) runs, while Sonika contributed (12) runs to the total.
In reply Jammu Angels Eleven chased the target and scored 47 runs in 4.2 overs for no loss with Rifat (32) and Sherish (5) being the main scorers.
Rifat of Angel Eleven declared woman of the match in final and player of the tournament as well.
Trophies, Medals, Certificates and Cricket gear was also awarded to the girls after the final match by IGP Jammu Dr S D Singh Jamwal who was accompanied by DIG Jammu, SSP Jammu and Daud Iqbal, Director Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
