Jammu boy tops in Asian Chess Federation ranking

JAMMU, Feb 15: The Asian Chess Federation (ACF) has rated Jammu based chess player Aakash Deep Singh Bhatia as the fastest growing Amateur chess player in Asia.
The Federation announced the list today on its official website www.asianchess.com.
Bhatia was followed by another Indian player Banerjee Ashutosh, who stood second while third place went to an Australian Au Alexander.
Aakash Deep topped the position by increasing his rating by 227 points during 14th Parsvnath Delhi International Open Grandmaster Chess Tournament 2016, which was attended by the Grandmasters from Germany, Hungary, Russia and United States among others.
Aakash Deep has attributed his grand success to his coach Vivek and his team.
