DODA, Sept 30: Jammu District won Divisional Level Kho-Kho tournament Under-17 for boys at Sports Stadium here today.
In the riveting semi-final showdown, Doda reached the final after beating Samba with a lead of 8 points while in the second semi-final featured between Udhampur and Jammu, where Jammu registered victory with 8 points lead. The battle for the third-place spot was contested between Samba and Udhampur fiercely, where Udhampur won by an inning and 3 points and claimed the position of second runners-up.
In the grand finale between Jammu and Doda, Jammu showcased their prowess and determination and defeated Doda and lifted the coveted championship trophy. The trophies and merit certificates were distributed among the winners.
Selectors Raj Kumar Gupta, Raj Kumar Sharma and Ifroz Hussain Rather will select the team of Jammu Division for the match with Kashmir division team after that a team of J&K-UT will be selected for the national level participation.
