Udhampur, Oct 12: Divisional Level Inter District Basketball competition for Boys under-19 years of age, held at the Army Public School ground in Udhampur concluded today.
Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Udhampur, Mudassar Yaqoob was the chief guest while DIG BSF (Retd.) Jammu Frontier K.K Sharma was guest of honour on this occasion.
During this ceremony the chief guest addressed the participants and presented trophies and medals to the winning and runner up teams. There were about 62 boys from six districts of Jammu division who participated in the competition.
There results in 1st semi final; Jammu District emerged winner by defeating Samba district by the score of 30-11 to enter into the finals. In the second semi final Udhampur district defeated Kathua district by the score of 23-10 and entered into the finals against Jammu district In the final match; Jammu district emerged triumphant once again by defeating Udhampur district with an impressive score of 49-10 and secured the championship title. The matches were officiated by Sanjay Sharma, Manik Nargotra, Ranbir Singh, Ishang Bandral, Deepak Sharma, Rajesh Bandral and Vaneet Pangotra (selector).
